The Pavilion Café is located in the Pavilion building at the Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field on Ashton Lane. The cafe is run and staffed entirely by a group of volunteers managed by the Cafe Committee as a sub-committee of AHSRA (Ashton Hayes Sports & Recreation Association). The Cafe overlooks the playing field, with views towards the welsh hills and is close to the safe and well designed play area for children, the adult outdoor gym and boules court. There is indoor seating as well as an under cover outdoor patio area and an on-field under cover area with picnic benches.

You can be assured of the warmest of welcomes by our friendly group of volunteers. There are hot and cold drinks, delicious homemade cakes, ice cream and much more to purchase at competitive prices. Being staffed entirely by volunteers we are able to use an profit to help with the maintenance and development of the Playing Field, Playground and Pavilion building for the benefit of our community.
The Cafe has hosted many successful events since opening in 2014 including fundraisers for Macmillan Cancer Support, as well as Community events such as Christmas Jubilee and Coronation celebrations. Twice a year it is an ideal location for hosting the Community Clear up activity. The Pavilion may be hired for birthday parties, pop-up events and other functions

The Café on a regular basis provides lunch for a group of people who may be finding it less easy to get out and about. This is prepared and served by café volunteers and the lunch club is supported by Timebank who offer transport as needed.
