Queen’s Jubilee Festival Events Update

The planning teams have been really busy over the last few weeks and some notable milestones are:

  • Confirmation that we have been granted just under £10,000 from the National Lottery
  • Confirmation that the WI will fund the inter-generational audio-visual production
  • Confirmation that the Sands Veterinary Practice will sponsor the dog show
  • Confirmation that a number of other local businesses and residents will provide sponsorship and support in kind

This is all great news but we do still need to complete the jigsaw and would ask that all local businesses, organisations and residents consider supporting the festival of events by pledging support to the Beacon Lighting event: https://www.spacehive.com/a-beacon-is-lit-in-ashton-hayes

If we can get at least 20 sponsors CWaC will look to sponsor the event too, making it even easier to reach our overall target. Any size of pledge will be very welcome.

Please help us by getting this message out to as many people as you can.

Let’s make the festival an escape from the negative things all around us and something positive that everyone will remember for a long time to come.

Any surplus income received after all costs have been deducted will be donated to local community projects and charity.

Thank you.

A Beacon is lit in Ashton Hayes …

On Thursday 2nd June, Ashton Hayes will be hosting one of the official Queen’s Jubilee Beacons. Read all about them at https://www.queensjubileebeacons.com/

To help us take part in this once in a lifetime event we are asking for donations to help us fund the event. We are urging everyone to pledge their support at www.spacehive.com/a-beacon-is-lit-in-ashton-hayes

We look forward to seeing you on 2nd June!
