As you will know it is the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration on the weekend of 2nd – 5th June 2022. Local communities are being asked to arrange events as part of the celebrations. This would potentially include taking part in the national beacon lighting event on the evening of 2nd June as well as a multi-organisation community event which, thanks to AHSRA, is likely to be held on the recreation field on Sunday 5th June.
If you are a local resident or local organisation/group and you are interested in being on the organising committee for one or both of these events the parish council would love to hear from you. Please email us at queensjubilee@ashtonhayespc.co.uk with your details and we will be in touch.
You can also use this address to let us know of any ideas you may have for these and possibly other events over the weekend, even if you don’t want to help organise them. We cannot promise to take all suggestions forward but they will be considered.
